Jon Hansen tubist, composer, and producer based in Zürich, Switzerland. He has performed/recorded with Nicole Johänntgen, ODESZA, Ahamefule J. Oluo's Now I'm Fine, La Nefera, Polyrhythmics, The Fabulous Party Boys, Norvmbega, Pickwick, Industrial Revelation, The Seattle Symphony, Tubaluba, Slipstitch, Heatwarmer, Katie Kuffel, All-Star Opera, and The Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, and has been a featured soloist in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Jon's compositions have been performed/recorded in Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America by Sérgio Carolino, TAZ, Mr SC and the Wildbones Gang, Steve Rosse, Ko-Ichiro Yamamoto,Trompas Lusas, Danny Helseth, Surrealistic Discussion, Aaron Tindall, and ensembles at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, Cal State University Long Beach, Tennessee Tech University, Ithaca College, and the Royal Academy of Music (London).

In 2019, Jon received the Jim and Jamie Self Creative Tuba Award from the International Tuba and Euphonium Association for his pioneering work on the SPACETUBA, which he demonstrated while on the faculty Gravíssimo Festival in Alcobaça, Portugal, and the Electrobrass Conference in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (USA).

A Miraphone Performing Artist, Jon proudly plays the Miraphone "Petruschka"  1281 F Tuba.
